Blackboard retirement

Blackboard authoring and file tools are retired. Freeform and native Slides own editable Cell content; local CLI previews remain file-backed and read-only.

Browser migration

Workspace converts a legacy work on first open. A local journal records a stable target session: pending → durably saved document → complete → editable. Retries reuse the target; completed native edits are never regenerated. Failure retains the source and journal. Source backups are not automatically deleted. /blackboard?workspace=… is migration-only; no workspace ID routes to Workspace.

Cloud migration uses POST /v1/account/works/:id/migrate with expectedRevision, native kind, and converted content. One transaction archives the source, preserves work ID, replaces content, and increments revision. Stale versions conflict; repeated conversion returns the current native work. Archives count toward account quota and remain available from GET /v1/account/works/:id/source-backup. Deleting a cloud work explicitly deletes its archive as well.

Deploy the account migration endpoint before the browser that consumes it.

Local files

CLI migration converts explicitly and refuses existing output. Normal init creates a native file; normal inspect/open/render do not compile packages.
